Project 3 - INTERPRETATION & REPRESENTATION : Principles, Tectonics & Sensory
In this project, we are required to look back at our tectonic structure from project 2 and deconstruct it layer by layer to form a (approximately) 20m3 structure thus identify a dominant theme (elements and principles). The banal action from our last project was our design intention. We need to re-explore the relationship between the banal action and our design. The spatial relationship was explored deeper and we even captured the essence and poetry of our own intention. The idea was too generated by notions of sensorial experiences with all of the combination above.
My banal action was standing and my initial idea was to create a space for me to overcome acrophobia, exposing myself a little by little while increasing complexity and try to achieve my goal.

NARRATIVE
1.
As i stand into the middle space, I look at what is above, I get the total view of the void from ground level and I know that I am going to stand up there at the end. I am also able to see light projecting from the sky through spaces in between the glass stairs. Shadows are formed on the ground.
II.
After going up the stairs, I stand on the glass piece and I have walls to hold on ( as security ). The wall acts as a partial support to let me get use to heights. I look to the bottom, and i realized where I am standing is actually not that high.
III.
I got braver. I didn't expect myself to reach the top, from walls as security to nothingless. I look down to the void, I realized there are pieces of glass overlapping and I looked how far I've come. The journey down will be more scarier so I would be more concentrate and it feels good to sense the victory.
